TechStar Judging Process

TechStar Judging Process

- Tech Council compiles judging notebook
- By category, review each entry received and rate each on a scale from 1..10 (should be done separately prior to judging day)
- If necessary, Tech Council and judges may schedule calls for clarification prior to judging day
- On judging day judges will review, tally points, and discuss each entry
- Each entry will be rated in five areas:

  • Originality/Creativity
  • Innovation
  • Business Impact
  • Community Impact
  •  Wow Factor

- Scale will be from 1..10 with 10 being highest
- Each judge will evaluate independently prior to judging day and no discussion with other judges
- Scores will be totaled to determine winners after discussion on judging day
- Tie breaker will be the WOW Factor

At the TechStar Awards each Category Winner will present their technology effort.  Attendees will vote on the best technology presentation to choose the Grand Prize Winner!
